Description
The specimen shows the distal end of the stomach, the pylorus and the first part of the duodenum.
Immediately beyond the pylorus there is a deep ulcer crater with, close by, a second smaller ulcer.
The remnants of blood clot can be seen in the base of the ulcer, indicating that the lesion has bled.
